George Christensen, born around 1847, is my great-grandfather, who arrived from Denmark about 1870 according to the only census I've been able to find with his name. He was in Menard, Illinois in 1883 as that's when he married Hattie Pond. I've been told he worked for her father Samuel Pond. My brother's DNA test indicates he may have come from the east coast of Jutland or Bornholm. I know very little about Denmark so need to do more research.

I will begin working on the Musante/Cueno/Daneri/DeFarrari lines shortly. I have two additional DNA sources nearly sequenced to help out. I also have a couple native Italian-speaking friends to help me work my way through Italian archives. I'll keep you posted.
