In South African research on Wikitree we have a few quirks and rules ~ a particular one is to please use the correct Country Name as was used at the time of the event. Another one is Name fields on profiles.
Perhaps you would like to join the South African Roots Project? Besides links to sources, there are help pages that might also be useful. Many / most of the South African genealogical lines and profiles of the eighteenth and seventeenth periods (and earlier) have already been made. Many have also been validated with primary sources. A few handy links:

We are so happy you decided to upgrade to the Family Member level.
Please visit our tutorial pages to learn how to use WikiTree: How To Use WikiTree. They will save you time, energy, and frustration as you add your family profiles.
Exploring the site is the best way to learn. One way to do that is to check out the drop-down menus on the top right side of your profile page. Finding a known ancestor and collaborating with the profile manager is another great way to start.
Questions? You can always use the G2G link in the Help Menu to find answers.
You mentioned that you don’t know much about your family tree yet. I assume you are new to genealogy. No problem! Every genealogist is a beginner at some point. Take your time, keep track of sources, and ask questions. Check here for tips.

To get yourself added to Johannes Rudolph Botha (1906-)'s trusted list you can click the words " request to join the Trusted List", it can be found in the right hand column just under the "Collaboration" heading. The profile manager is quite active on WikiTree and was online this morning so it is likely that you will receive a quick response. It might be a good idea to send her a private message too to tell her how you are related to Johannes, and I'm sure she's going to be over the moon to hear from you. (She is closely related to you, which you can see by clicking the green envelope looking icon next to her name on Johannes profile where it says "Profile manager:" in the orange stripe.
Remember when working on profiles that are managed by others to always chat with them about any major edits that you plan to make to the profile.
Have fun, and congratulations on making your first connection!
