Birth & Baptism

Antonie was born in 1786 and baptized on 14 nov of that year. He was the son of Antonie de Nijs and Anna Van Leeuwen. ^[1]

Miltary duty

Antonie was exempted of military duty because he was the eldest son of a poor widow.^[2]

Marriage

On 12 april 1815 he married Theodora Petronella Bierman in Haarlem. He was 28 at the time and earned a living as a weaver. ^[3]

They had the following children, all born in Haarlem:

1. Eiizabeth Johanna (32 jan 1816)
2. Antonie (14 jul 1818-11 may 1885)
3. Hendrik Jacobus (26 jun 1825)

Death

Antonie passed away on 1 september 1851 at the age of 64 in Haarlem. ^[4]
