Biography
Jean Baptiste was born and baptized on 3 December 1764. [1]He is the son of Honoré Doiron and Marie Bonne Savary. His sponsors were Jean-Baptiste Jolin and Marie Joseph Pepin.
He married Geneviève dite Reine Gagné, daughter of Joseph Gagné and Marie Josephe Langlois, 25 September 1787 at St-François-de-la-Rivière-du-Sud, Montmagny.[2] The witnesses were for the groom: his father "who could not sign or assist (not sure of the writing: "signer" vs "assister") because of an infirmity", his brother Hermand Doiron (Armand), his cousin Joseph Savoie. For the bride her father Joseph Gagné, her brother Jean Baptiste Gagné, Jacques Gendron a friend (the only one who signed the register).
