Daly-220 and Ely-203 do not represent the same person because: not the same parents
posted by Aline Barbeau
Thomas Ely Jr. could not have been born 1725, as his parents were married in 1734 in Bucks Co., PA. A date of 1735 has been attached to his birth. Also, it is unlikely that he was born in England. He did marry Hannah Warner.

Is the information on him incorrect or is it the wrong Thomas Ely? The Thomas Ely who married Jane Elizabeth Smith is a different Thomas Ely. He fought in the American Revolution and died in VA. The Thomas Ely who married Hannah Warner never lived in VA. He died in Maryland.
