Research Notes
January 1, 2023. Removed George from the parents, David Green and Mary Whitford. The error comes from FamilySearch.org which has the father of Mary (Whitford) Greene (https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/LHP2-PJH) attached to two Mary Whitfords, indicating that one married Samuel Greene and one married David Greene.
WikiTree profile for Mary (Whitford) Greene Whitford-654 has a source for Find A Grave that bears out that the daughter of Nathaniel, born and died in Rhode Island, married Samuel Greene and is not the mother of George William Greene
