Still learning the system, I believe I incorrectly created new profiles for the following. So I need to learn how to find the existing profile and merge / add my additionally confirmed info (or however it works):

- Alexander Preston Jones - Margaret Burns Garrett

John, can you provide the WikiTree ID for each of those? Alexander would be Jones-a number and Margaret will be Garrett-number. That would help me see their profiles and search for a duplicate.

The profile manager has merged and I have updated the profile, Margaret Burns (Garrett) Jones (1871-1937).

A different profile manager has thanked me but hasn't merged the profiles, mine Alexander Preston Jones (1858-1929) and her's Alexander Jones (1858-1929) as yet.

Additionally, I missed another one, but this one has no profile manager. So I guess we could merge these and make me the manager (mine - Isaac Newton Troutman (1862-1930) and the one without a manager - Newton Troutman (abt.1864-)). I am a direct descendant of this individual.

John, you can go ahead and adopt the Troutman profile that has no profile manager and then merge the two. You will then be the profile manager for the surviving profile. Be sure to merge into the lowest number and then just clean up the surviving profile - retain what is relevant and delete what is duplicated.

The Jones profiles - the one that has a profile manager will eventually be merged. If no action is taken, in 30 days, you can then complete the merge.
