Hi Karen, Just joind up as well and also waiting for Gedcom approval. I live in SA but have heritage on my mothers side in the UK. My son, his wise and son have emigrated to the UK Wolverhampton area. And my sister and her family have also emigrated to the UK and live down in the south. I would be interested in collaborating on a South African project once I have settled into WikiTree properly.
Hi Karen, Thanks for your message. Just let me know when you are ready to join the UK Project and I'll add the badge to your profile. There should be a South African project soon hopefully. It has been proposed and we're just waiting on a Leader to take it forward. Keep an eye on G2G for its launch.
Hi Karen, and welcome to WikiTree! You mentioned your ancestors in the United Kingdom. I wanted to let you know we have a great new project that focuses on the UK here called United Kingdom Project It would be a great place for you to get involved once you have settled into WikiTree.
You may find some of your ancestors are already on WikiTree and the people in the United Kingdom Project will be happy to help you in any way they can.
Thank you so much for joining WikiTree.
Good luck with your research.

I have spend about 4 years off and on researching the Landers branch of my family tree. I am from South Africa (lots of Launders here that originated out of Finningley Notinghamshire England)
