John died before July 26, 1666, when administration of his will was granted.
He had three children:
Joshua, born by say 1615 who married Jane ____ , a niece of Roger Conant;
Martha, b. say 1617, who married William Parke; and
Lydia, b. say 1621 who married Robert Gutch/Gooch.[1]
Arrival
John arrived in Salem in 1633. His wife Elizabeth ____ died after 1636 and prior to his death in 1666. It's unknown if she was the mother of his children.[2]
Disputed Parents: Despite online trees that claim that John's father was Robert Holgrave[4][5][6] (mother unknown at this time), Anderson indicates that his origins are not known.[7]

Any evidence that he died in Salem? Anderson says that he removed to Maine in late 1650's or 1660's. Noyes et al (Genealogical Dictionary of Maine and New Hampshire) on page 344 says administration of his will was awarded July 26, 1666 by the Casco (Maine) court.
