Augustin Lavoie was born and baptized, a twin with his brother Charles Lavoie (1704 -1707), on 17 Feb 1704 in Notre-Dame-de-Liesse parish of Rivière-Ouelle, Canada, Nouvelle-France. He was the son of Jean (De la Voye) Lavoie and of Marie Madeleine Boucher. Godparents at the infant's baptism were Pierre Berrubey and Catherine Dancosse. The officiating priest was Bernard de Requeleyne.[1][2]
Marriage
Augustin Lavoye married Marie Angélique Migner, daughter of André Mignier and the late Françoise Ouellet, on 7 Jan 1728 in Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pocatière.[3]
2nd Marriage Contract
Augustin Lavoye and Marie Marguerite Michaud, signed a marriage contract with notary Janot, on 28 Jan 1729 in Kamouraska.
Death and Burial
Augustin Lavoix passed away being given the age of around 70 years on the record. His burial was on 16 Oct 1770 in Saint-Louis parish cemetery of Kamouraska, Province de Québec.[4]
Research Notes
His baptismal record has de Lavoje written in the body of the text for his baptism. That's a "J" in there, not a "Y", has a dot on it. " J" being often used instead of "I" back then. The margin notation by the same priest has it Lavoie.

Following Québécois group recommendations, the LNAB should match the father's last name on this person's baptism record. It should therefore be changed to "De Lavoye" (the current name can obviously stay "Lavoie").

Be careful....another Augustin Lavoie was born on 12 Jan 1704 to Joseph Lavoie and Marie-Francoise Guimond. He married Angelique Duchesne.
