Immigration

Christophel arrived at the Port of Philadelphia on 10 September 1731 aboard the ship Pennsylvania Merchant. He was one of fifty-seven males above the age of sixteen years recorded on Captain John Stedman's passenger list. Captain Stedman stated his total number of passengers was 175 persons.

On 11 September 1731 at the Philadelphia Courthouse, "Christoffel Moll" signed the required immigration oaths in German script.[1] He was 27th on the three lists, while another passenger on board, Johan Michel Moll, was 3rd on the three lists. In other words, they were not treated as a family on the immigration lists.

Captain Stedman's list of Women Above 16 Years of Age included Rosina Moll, Margarite Moll, and Anlyas Moll, listed consecutively. Stedman's list of Children Under The Age of 16, included Conraed Moll and Margarite Moll, listed consecutively.[2]
