I’ve tried contacting him to add me, a couple months ago, with no response. Ticks me off as I have years of reasearch, over 2000 names in our tree and he just started. He’s keeping information from being added to wikitree. If he won’t respond, what do I do?

Isn’t that crazy? How do we keep adding information if we are blocked. If I have more trouble, Robert doesn’t add me, I’m done with wikitree and I have so much information that’ll not be added.

Hi, someone offered help in a message to me and now I can’t find the message. I need to be the person for our/my tree and the person in charge, Bob Arndt, isn’t responding to my message request to put me on as an administrator. That’s not the title but can’t him to respond. I’ve been working on our tree since 1977 and he just started. This tree, our tree, should be handled by me. How do I change that? He won’t talk to me.

I tried to make changes but it’s not working. Tried to change Francesco Guzzi name to his burt name Guzzo and it didn’t change. Tried to make my preferred name Kathleen and it didn’t change. Where is a help button. I’m trying to help out by doing things accurately and can add a lot more people but this is too hard to correct others entries when I know they’re wrong.

I think that your problem may be that you made some changes that were draft and did not save them completely. You probably need to go in and edit again and do a complete save. If you would like me to do this change for you let me know. Reply to this message if you need my help.

P.S.S. I had a look and, yes, you have added ancestors correctly. Congratulations as they are connected to the larger WikiTree! For your profile to be connected and your DNA test information to show up on those ancestors profiles, you'll need to adjust your Privacy so that your ancestors will show. DNA at WikiTree provides a visual way for you to find others who have tested and have the potential of having common ancestors. It does not work without visible connections to profiles of your ancestors. In about 24 hours, your test will have populated on to the profiles of potential matches.

It’s been adjusted correctly, Kathy. When I look at your profile, I can now see an Ancestors button; you should be able to see it also. If you click that button, it will show you a pedigree chart with the ancestors that you have added so far.

I have never participated in a website like this before. It is so not user friendly and I never get anything accomplished except confusion and frustration. I have over 2000 people in my tree and haven’t got a clue how to start adding or if you even want me to. Is is different or easier on my laptop than my phone? I think I understand the concept but can’t grasped what I’m supposed to do.
