Claude Cyprien Portlié was born 27 Apr 1726. He was the son of Jean-Baptiste Porlier and Anne-Marie St. Etienne. He was baptized the next day at Port Royal. His godparents were Alexandre Robichau and Anne Ouinet, daughter of Guillaume Ouinet, merchant.[1][2]
He married Cecile Granger, daughter of Laurent Granger and the late Marie Bourg 20 January 1755 at Port Royal. Witnesses were Chaude Landry, Charles Melançon, Joseph Le Blanc and Pierre Melançon.[3]
Cyprien Porlier, widower of Cecile Granger passed away 6 Mar 1811 aged 95 years per the record, and was buried 8 Mar 1811 in Carleton.[4]
For a couple of generations the family name went from Poirier to Porlier
