In general, you need to split a Gedcom before you create it (that is, you need to be selective in exporting data from your software). If your data is in a software package or on another website, see https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Splitting_a_GEDCOM for instructions on selectively exporting data from the place where the data currently resides.
If the Gedcom has been created no longer resides in another software package, one option would be to import it into a software package that can export a piece of the file. (And there are other possible options, but all of them would need to be tested on your data before applying them on a large scale.)
Where does your data reside?
You can split your GEDCOM into smaller segments and import it in parts. We recommend new members start off small anyway, so you can get a feel for the site, get the hang of it and make sure it's something you really want to commit to. What software do you use for your family history?
