Biography
Tieleman was born on or just before 2 May 1795 as child of Dirk Thijs and Helena Thijs - Vermeulen. He was baptized on 2 May 1795 in the Roman Catholic church of Heeze.[1]
On 22 January 1820 he married Joanna Verbeek. The marriage took place in Heeze.[2] Among their children was:
- Wilhelmus Thijs (1838-1915)
His wife Joanna passed away in 1850, leaving Tieleman a widower.[4] Tieleman passed away on 5 July 1868 in Heeze at the age of 73.[3]
Research Notes
- Tieleman was baptized on 2 May 1795.[1] In these times children were baptized as soon after birth as possible, to prevent that the child would die unbaptized (and could not go to heaven). Hence Tieleman would have been born on 2 May 1795 or in the days before.
