Sarah Ann Thomas was born on 19 Jan 1848 in Waterton, Luzerne, Pennsylvania, United States, daughter of William S. Thomas (1816 - 1862) and Catherine A (Downing) Thomas (1822 - 1888).

Hi Shannon, I don't think this merge will work because it lists "Downing" as the mother of Sarah Ridall Thomas. This is incorrect. Sarah's mother was Catherine A. Delameter (Delamater) and her father was William S. Thomas. They were married in 1839 or 1840 when Catherine was 17 and remained married until William died. Catherine is buried in Dodson Cemetery and her gravestone lists her as the wife of William S. Thomas. There is no mention of a "Downing."

Hello. I just found Sara's death certificate on Ancestry (linked above) it states her mother is Catherine Downing not Delameter.
