Hi Antoine,

Would you please add the Canada Project as a co-manager of Julie Payette's profile: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Payette-259

As a former Governor General of Canada, she is part of Canada Project's Manager Profiles and the project should be shown as a manager.

When we add the project account as a manager on a profile, it is to partner with current profile managers, never replace them.

Thanks!

Dave

Bonjour cousin,

Greetings Antoine Alarie .. I totally agree with you that merging is an essential tool for maintaining WikiTree profiles.

During the WikiTree connect a thon for various reasons, I experienced several failures with the WikiTree search engine that resulted in duplicate profiles.

I am working to account and correct those by merging and editing.

Antoine , please identify the profiles that you are referring too and lets collaborate to put those in order.

Thank you for your correspondence ....

Hi Antoine, Laprairie may be used occasionally in modern terms, but factually the full name of the location in New France days was la prairie de la Magdeleine. La Prairie was used for shorter version. Not in one word.

Thank you, Antoine, for the clues about Achon-33. I was able to obtain quite a few dates and connections for him.

Bonjour Antoine,

Yes Antoine, there is evidence that Joseph Payant (Payant-48) was Jacques Joseph Payant dit St Onge!! IN DICTIONNAIRE TANGUAY he is Jacques Joseph Payant and in a written biography. What did Tanquay and others base this on? perhaps baptisms of his children or civil documents. I would not be so quick to disregard this ....it it likely will turn up as we continue researching. Merci.
