As you have no doubt noticed, WikiTree has some restrictions on adding and editing profiles born before 1500. These restrictions were agreed to by the WikiTree community. Please don't subvert these restrictions by adding or editing profiles using dates such as 'born before 1500' when it is clear that they were born earlier.
I'm looking forward to working with you! I sent you an email, please reply or if you didn't see it check your spam box. If not there, you can email me here: email.
Please avoid leaving both the birth and death locations blank. For locations, our style guide says that almost any location is better than no location as locations help disambiguate similarly named people. So if you can please try to estimate the birth or death location and then explain the basis for your estimation in a = = Research Notes = = section that would be very helpful.
In the case of Catarina, since her children were born in Portugal and she married there, it is reasonable to estimate that Catarina was born in Portugal.
When citing a book, please help those following you, by unambiguously citing the page number. I believe that 1701 is the page number and not the count of the pages in this book. Generally, the abbreviation pp means pages (plural), so if you are referring to the exact page number, you would just do the singular page p 1701 and not the plural pp 1701. A range of pages would be plural and thus pp 1701–02 or pp 1701, 1705, or if giving the count of pages in the book, it would be pp 1701 for a book containing 1701 pages (which is how I originally read your citation).
Additionally, for books that are not readily available from free sources online, if you can quote the passage you are relying upon, that is very helpful for those who do not have easy access to the book, or alternatively, if it is online, then providing a link is very helpful.
Unfortunately, as far as I know, Filipe Pinheiros de Campos's genealogical work (books) "Uma Família de Cristãos-Novos em Bragança : Cinco Séculos de História" is not available online. It has 1719 pages and it is divided in three volumes. You may find it in some libraries (https://www.worldcat.org/title/familia-de-cristaos-novos-em-braganca-cinco-seculos-de-historia/oclc/193162305) or in some old books stores. The link you cite above is for a different work (it has a different title, and the author is not the same).
I am quoting the precise page(s).
For the profiles above the "pp" in the references were replaced with "p".
Primary sources
. These volumes have many precise dates and location of births/baptisms, deaths and marriages. These came from the vital records kept in the national and district archives, many are available online (for Bragança's archive is "https://digitarq.adbgc.arquivos.pt/"). So it will be "easy" to find the records (the hard work is already done by the author and it is published).
In order to find the right archive/town/parish the easiest way is to navigate through the non-official site https://tombo.pt/. It is divided by district/municipality "concelho"/town (parish) and shows what is available online. Bragança's are in https://tombo.pt/en/d/braganca .
Familysearch have these Portuguese vital records digitized and online, but the access is restricted for most of them.
. There are many Portuguese Inquisition processes referenced in this work. I am adding them to the sources of the profiles, with links to the national archives (Arquivo Nacional da Torre do Tombo). All the processes of Lisbon Inquisition are digitized and available online, for the other courts only some are available.
Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand Pre-1700 Profiles. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines on that page.
It would be best if you use your surname or, at least, your first name on your profile. This will help when you're communicating with other WikiTree genealogists. We all share family here, so it's good to know who we're talking to.
You can find more information about how we use names on our Name Fields help page. We strongly discourage the use of Anonymous or initials for both your first and last names.
If you are concerned about Privacy, click the Privacy tab on your profile to view the different settings.
An additional level of anonymity can be achieved by not connecting any of your relatives to your profile.
We are so happy you decided to upgrade to the Family Member level.
Please visit our tutorial pages to learn how to use WikiTree: New Member How To Use WikiTree. They will save you time, energy, and frustration as you add your family profiles.
Exploring the site is the best way to learn. One way to do that is to check out the drop-down menus on the top right side of your profile page. Finding a known ancestor and collaborating with the profile manager is another great way to start.
Questions? You can always use the G2G link in the Help Menu to find answers.

WikiTree current policy: Using Anonymous is discouraged but not forbidden (tho “anonymous” must be used, not a synonym).

Thanks for creating pre-1700 profiles like Pedro Borges (abt.1675-), Mariana Gomes (abt.1680-), and Catarina Henriques (-bef.1775).

Thanks for creating Manuel Lopes Fernandes (1695-), José António (unknown) Unknown (abt.1690-), Serafina Antónia (unknown) Unknown (abt.1695-), José Rodrigues Nunes Traça (1690-), Afonso de Valença (abt.1685-), Afonso de Valença (abt.1685-), and Isabel da Costa (abt.1690-) all with a birth location of Portugal and all citing the book Pinheiro de Campos, Filipe. Uma Família de Cristãos-Novos em Bragança : Cinco Séculos de História. Bragança, 2007. Vol III, pp 1701 for which I found this as the closest thing online, but that one only has 253 pages, so I don't know if it is incomplete or a different work.
