Hi! I'm Martha "Pattie" Booker Bellenfant Akin's great-granddaughter from Eva Moore (Akin) Gooch and her daughter Patsy (Gooch) Henry. Moore was my grandmother's middle name, which she hated and never used because the family Dr called her "Forever Achin'." 🤣 Pattie's middle name was Booker, and she used Bellenfant, correctly spelled, even though it means "bastard." I used to have her picture, but most of my things were thrown out during COVID lockdown, which came in the middle of my moving out of the family home in Nolensville.

Hi Kevin,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Pre-1700 ancestors can be shared by many descendants, so collaboration is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

I would like to suggest that the France Project could fit your current research focus. If not, use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find other possibilities. Review the project page to learn about resources and guidelines as well as how to collaborate with the project members.

Please take your time. Accuracy is so much more important than speed on WikiTree. And please add locations, dates, and at least one reliable source to each profile, particularly any pre-1700s profile, before you leave it. (See: Pre-1700 Reliable Sources).

Have questions? Reply to this comment or ask in the comments section of my profile.

 :)

P.S. To find reliable sources for your profiles, go to the Family Tree & Tools tab; select Genealogy Research and scroll down near the bottom of that list and select Research with RootsSearch. There are over 20 websites to access from there.

Virginia,

I have a question for you. I am curious about how DNA connections works. I previously uploaded my DNA test from Ancestry and included Gedmatch and DNA portal info. My name then appeared under the DNA connections for my ancestors. However, I did get my tree deleted for inactivity after 60 days. I just uploaded it again and everything seems fine but my name no longer appears under the DNA connections for my ancestors, only as a 100% match to myself. Will this info reappear once I start doing gedmatches? I have done some but I don't see my info on their pages. Is there perhaps a day or two delay for this?

Hi Kevin, Give it 24 to 48 hours and if you still do not see your DNA showing on your ancestor's profiles, let me know. There is a delay for the updating so hopefully, all will be well soon.

Hi Kevin!

Thanks for joining the WikiTree community -- your contributions will go a long way to joining the world together! By adding your family to Wikitree, you will have the opportunity to connect and collaborate with other members.

Start with the New Member How-To pages — they are really useful as you add profiles and learn your way around. Feel free to work through the How-Tos at your own pace.

Thank you for adding your DNA to WikiTree. Getting the Best from DNA will tell you more about how DNA kits are used on WikiTree.

The GEDCOMpare process guide has tips on how to use the data in your file most efficiently. There is a tool that can help with cleaning up GEDCOM created biographies. It lets you concentrate on the genealogy rather than the formatting. You can read more about it in the WikiTree AGC FAQ.

If you have any questions about how WikiTree works, let me know. To contact me, please log in to WikiTree and go to your profile. Use the ‘Reply’ link below my comment to be sure I will be notified. You can also click my name to send a private message, or post a comment, on my profile page. I am happy to help!

Best wishes for your family history journey!
