Hi Kim,

I have sent you a PM with regard to this. Would you please remove ' Category: County Donegal Project ' from your profile as we are waiting to delete this category as it is no longer used.

Thanks David

Hi Kim,

It’s time for our annual Ireland Project check-in! Please respond within the next two weeks to let me know:

If you are happy with the team you’re on or if you’d like to make a change. It is now required that all members with an Ireland project badge work on at least one of the project’s team(s), so if you’ve not yet signed up please do so in your reply to this check-in.

  • What you think the project is doing well, and what (if any) changes you would like to see us make? Are there any teams you would like to become more active in?
  • Would you be interested in helping to work on an Ireland Project newsletter?
  • Please give us some feedback on the use of google group and discord. Do you use one or both of these? If you don’t use either of them, what is the best way for us to ensure you receive project communications? If you would like to join us on either one, just let us know in your response and we will get you signed up.

Please respond to this message by posting a reply below or sending me a private message on WikiTree. If we don’t hear from you within two weeks, we will assume you are no longer interested in participating in the Ireland Project, and your badge will be removed. If you wish to reapply for membership later, we will be happy to have you back. Many thanks, and I look forward to hearing from you!

Sincerely,

Jen Hutton, on behalf of the Ireland Project

Hi Kim,

I noticed in the G2G feed that you are working on people with the Christopher surname. Are they ancestors? My Christopher ancestors are from Iowa.

When you get a chance come check out the Christopher surname project page and post a comment there to introduce yourself. If there's ever anything I can do to help or any questions I can answer, let me know.

Hello Kim,

My name is Sarah and I’m the Project Coordinator for the Scotland Project. As you may have heard, we have merged the Scottish Clans project into the Scotland Project. I am contacting you today to find out if you are interested in continuing with us under this new format. If you would like to go forward on the Scottish Clans Team, please reply and let me know which clans you have been working on or would like to work on. I look forward to hearing from you.

Best Regards,

Sarah Mason, Scotland PC

Hi Kim,

We realise the time has come to dissolve the UK Project in favour of the individual country projects of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.

We are checking in with all UK badge holders to find out which country project(s) you would like to be in so you can collaborate with other members, have the opportunity to select which team(s) you would like to join, and so we can ensure you have all the correct badges.

Please respond by PM to let us know which country project(s) you would like to be in. Please don’t assume we know. We are effectively starting from scratch to make sure no one falls through the cracks.

Once you have done this, the Coordinator for Membership in the relevant country project(s) will be in touch to help get you situated.

Many thanks,

Susie

I added the category for his county and asked for research assistance in the G2G forum. If you go to his profile you will see any questions posted regarding that profile and can watch for answers. Some of the members here amaze me with the information they can find and how fast they can find it.

Usually people are more than happy to help find information and resources. Under categories you can find categories to add to profiles, more than you can imagine; residences, cemeteries, occupations, veterans, etc. There is also an Irish roots project you may find helpful as well once you feel more comfortable with WikiTree. It can be overwhelming, so move at your own pace.

Hope this helps, Sylvia

Hi Kim,

Now that you've been with WikiTree for a week or so, I wanted to check in and see how you were doing. The New Member How-To's are for you to look through. If you already have, I hope it was helpful.

If you have any questions about how WikiTree works, don't hesitate to ask. Click on my name above and ask in the comment section of my page.

Hi Kim,

Thanks for volunteering! You are now a full member of the WikiTree community, and can start adding your family. Let me know if you have any questions.

Since WikiTree is different from other genealogy sites, we have a guided tour for new members at New Member How-To. Feel free to work through the How-Tos at your own pace.

Once you add profiles to WikiTree they become searchable and in my experience persons interested in these profiles will contact you and may provide further information to expand your family tree.

Great to have you on board, enjoy, and good luck growing your branches.

Ludwig :)
