When Linda M Dobbins was born on September 3, 1952, in Chehalis, Washington, her father, Howard, was 29, and her mother, Geneva, was 18. She was married three times and had three sons. She as two brothers and one half-brother. Linda's father passed Sunday morning, August 13, 1963 from a heart attack that occurred from a Friday logging accident. Rex and Eddy were about 8 and 9. Mom was 29. Linda, and her brothers, including mom had awesome family support from her sisters, Jewell and Jeanette and brother, Joe Melton. Joe lived with mom during this time and helped her with the farm. Linda attended Vader Grade School, Vader, WA from 1st -8th grade. I had a wonderful childhood playing with cousins, swimming, hiking and all activities that are living in a rural community. She sold enough May Day ribbons to become Vader May Day Queen 1966. Fall of 1966, Linda attended Toledo High School, graduated 1970. She met Jim Netteland during their senior year and married in 1972. Divorced 1983. Ron Yates and Linda married March 31, 1983 and lived in Vader raising Jim, John and Jarrod. Ronnie, Ron's son, decided to live with his mother. They were married 18 years. He had a massive Sunday morning heart attack on February 27, 2000. Ron was an excellent husband and father to Jim, John, and Jarrod. He was a role model for Unconditional Love. Linda returned to college to become a teacher. Earned a General Studies degree from Washington State University and transferred to City University, in Vancouver Wa and earned a Masters In Teaching Degree and then earned a Special Education Degree from City University in Centralia, WA.
