The Northern Champion (Taree, NSW : 1913 - 1954) Wed 25 Jun 1919 Page 2

MRS. Hugh McDonald.
The death was announced on Sunday of Mrs. McDonald, wife of Mr. Hugh McDonald, of Moorland, aged about 60 years. The deceased had not been in robust health for some time. Mrs. McDonald had lived with her husband and family at Moorland for upwards of 20 years. Prior to going on the land Mr. McDonald had a general store business at Croki. The late Mrs. McDonald, who was a daughter of the late Mr. W. Gill, of Jones Inland, was a splendid woman bright and cheerful, and one who could always see a silver lining to the blackest cloud. She was highly esteemed in the districts in which she had lived, and by her death a good wife and mother has gone to her eternal rest.
Mr. McDonald, the husband, met with a severe accident a week or so ago, by being thrown out of a spring cart. He has not yet recovered from the effects.
The following members of the family are left to mourn the death of a mother:~Mrs. E. C. Chapman, Moorland; Mrs. Ernest Armstrong, Sydney; Mrs. A. S. Ussher, Kendall; Nurse Saldie, Sydney; Misses Jessie and Ettie, who reside on the homestead; and Mr. Archie McDonald, who is a dairy farmer at Lecton.
