Disputed Identity

Any credible records only indicate that the name of Yelverton Crowells wife was Elizabeth _____.^[1] who died Nov 1703.^[2][3]

There is no reason to assume she was a Hammond.

Biography

Elizabeth married Yelverton Crowell, probably Yarmouth, about 1642 (birth of child).^[4]

Yelverton died "suddenly" at Yarmouth, 24 October 1683.^[5] Elizabeth survived; Yelverton referred to her as his "loving wife" in his will dated 23 December 1681, proved 8 March 1683/4.^[6]
