Any credible records only indicate that the name of Yelverton Crowells wife was Elizabeth _____.[1] who died Nov 1703.[2][3]
There is no reason to assume she was a Hammond.
Biography
Elizabeth married Yelverton Crowell, probably Yarmouth, about 1642 (birth of child).[4]
Yelverton died "suddenly" at Yarmouth, 24 October 1683.[5] Elizabeth survived; Yelverton referred to her as his "loving wife" in his will dated 23 December 1681, proved 8 March 1683/4.[6]
Children:
Thomas Crowell, born 9 May 1649, Yarmouth, Plymouth Colony, died 22 April 1723, Yarmouth, Barnstable County, Massachusetts Bay
John Crowell, born 1642, Yarmouth, Barnstable, Ma.

Hammond-11778 and Unknown-42055 appear to represent the same person because: Elizabeth Hammond (Hammond-11778) was associated as Yelverton Crowell's wife, but his wife was Elizabeth ______.
If you feel particular historical records and analysis have been overlooked in this process, please post a comment on Yelverton's profile page so that we may collaborate further.
I will initiate the merge, but we might consider protecting Elizabeth Unknown to ensure the merge goes in the right direction.
In reviewing the profile of Elizabeth (Unknown) Crowell (abt.1620-1703) seems she has been PPP before--related to "Hammond" Issues. There is a related G2G and perhaps 20 rejected Hammond related matches.
Fontaine, this could be anybody. Someone else added "Crowell" Please look at your original database and see if you can figure out who this is supposed to be. If it's not this person reject the merge, if you don't have a clue it might as well go through.
When I try to approve I get this message: Unknown-505389 is project protected. This means that it cannot be merged into any other profile. Profiles need to be merged into it instead. Click here to reverse the merge so that Unknown-42055 is merged into Unknown-505389.
When I try to reverse it I get this message: Pre-1700 Requirement: If you're not already coordinating with a project and familiar with applicable style rules click here:
I am not pre-1700 Requirement approved. I can't do anything with it.
There are no credible sources that cite a maiden name of Hammond. Both Anderson and Torrey refer to her as "Elizabeth." Last name at birth needs to be changed to Unknown.
Thanks, AP. I've posted a comment on the old G2G thread where they were discussing multiple Elizabeth Hammonds including this one. I've asked for a source and warned that lacking one, we will soon change her maiden name to Unknown.
Thanks Jillaine. I hadn't looked at this line yet, since it's my brother-in-law's. I will work on trying to sort it out. It's quite a mess and children are missing.
1620 birth in Yarmouth, Plymouth Colony is not possible considering that Yarmouth was not settled until 1639. She was certainly not born anywhere in New England in 1620.
This is where we are at this point. I have removed the incorrect parents, and all of the husbands other than the correct one. I have also fixed the children so that they are with the correct mother.

This Elizabeth Hammonds was linked as the wife of Yelverton Crowell (abt.1616-abt.1683) without collaboration and without citing reliable sources.
I plan to sever this association.
If you feel particular historical records and analysis have been overlooked in this process, please post a comment on Yelverton's profile page so that we may collaborate further.
Thank you.--Gene
