Hello Janet,

Thanks for self-certifying for the Pre-1700 badge! Collaboration with Pre-1700 Project members is essential for those wishing to edit Pre-1700 profiles. Collaboration is essential because those ancestors are usually shared by many descendants.

It looks like the United States Project would be a good fit based on your branch of WikiTree. Review the project page to learn about resources and guidelines as well as how to collaborate with the project members.

Do you have any questions? Let me know. I'm happy to help! :-)

Remember to cite reliable sources in pre-1700 profiles you manage, or edit. (See: Pre-1700 Reliable Sources).

Ginny ~ Pre-1700 Greeter

Just checking to see if you need any help.

Linda

Thanks for adding profiles to WikiTree. There are reasons behind the eighth point in our Honor Code: "We cite sources. Without sources we can't objectively resolve conflicting information." A source provides a way to find out more about the person. Showing sources reduces confusion and duplicates.

Here is what our Sources help page says. It has lots of ideas: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Sources The Sources Style Guide shows how to enter sources in the biography.

Hi Janet

I noticed you chose our Integrators Challenge this month. Could you do us a favor and go here to sign up officially: https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/742501/wikitreers-join-the-integrators-challenge-for-january-2019

Got a question, see this page as well: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:Integrators_Challenge

And if you can please add your name and WikiTree ID to the participant's page for us here: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:Integrators_Challenge#Participants

Also, you can put a sticker on your profile You can do so by adding the words Integrators Challenge with the {{ }} in front and back, in your biography.

Thank you and Good Luck!! Dorothy ~ Integrators Project Coordinator

Hello Janet,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working within the projects which coordinate them is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus, whether time period, location, or special event. Read the goals and tasks of the project and join if it is a good fit.

Let me know if you have trouble finding projects which fit your focus. Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.
