Mary Strang was born about 1745 in Rye, Westchester County, New York. She was the daughter of Daniel Strang and Elizabeth Galpin and the sister of Daniel Strang, also known as "The Recruiter", who was hanged as a spy in 1777 by the Revolutionary Forces.
Mary married Jacob Silliker. In 1783, Mary, Jacob, and their five children travelled from New York to the Loyalist town of Shelburne, Nova Scotia. From there, they joined 18 other Loyalist families and settled on the Island of Saint John (now Prince Edward Island). They arrived in Charlottetown on July 26, 1784.
The family was given a 500 acre land grant in Lot 26 (Bedeque), where their 6th child was born.
They had the following children:
Mary Silliker was born about 1771 in USA.
Mary married William Brandiscombe on 23 Nov 1790 in Bedeque, PEI, Canada. William was born about 1765 in New York, USA.
Joseph Silliker was born about 1776 in Westchester, New York, USA. He died on 3 Nov 1852 in Bedeque, Prince, PEI, Canada. He was buried in Lower Bedeque, Prince, PEI, Canada.
Joseph married (1) Jane Schurman daughter of William Schurman and Elizabeth Hyatt on 17 Nov 1801 in PEI, Canada. Jane was born in 1785 in PEI, Canada. She died on 30 Oct 1824 in Lower Bedeque, Prince, PEI, Canada. She was buried in PEI, Canada.
Joseph married (2) Jane Callbeck daughter of Phillips Morris Callbeck and Ann Nancy Warren on 23 Jul 1827 in Bedeque, Prince, PEI, Canada. Jane was born on 1 Jan 1798 in Tryon, Prince, PEI, Canada. She died on 27 Aug 1854 in Lower Bedeque, Prince, PEI, Canada. She was buried in Lower Bedeque, Prince, PEI, Canada.
Elizabeth Silliker was born about 1777. She died on 28 Jan 1826.
Daniel Silliker was born about 1779. He died on 28 Aug 1833.
Strang Silliker was born about 1781. He died on 16 Mar 1821.
William Silliker was born on 11 Oct 1787. He died on 16 Oct 1867. The family was given a 500 acre land grant in Lot 26 (Bedeque), where their 6th child was born.
Accompanying the Silliker family to Bedeque was Jesse Strang. Researchers have presumed that Jesse was the son of Daniel Strang and the nephew of Mary Strang. However, recent DNA evidence confirms that Jesse was not the son of Daniel Strang, but of Unknown Tompkins. Therefore, it is now speculated that Jesse was Mary Strang's son, born prior to her marriage to Jacob Silliker.[1]
Mary died in 1811or 1825 ( To be confirmed) in Bedeque, Prince Edward Island.

Therefore, I propose that these Mary Strangs be merged (I've also proposed a merge of Strang-87 and Strang-28) and that Daniel Strang be removed as Jesse's father.
Mary Galpin married Brudage and had children by him.
