My dad died recently and I realised that, apart from my grandparents, I had no information on my ancestors. I would like to find details of my great, great, great, grandparents who, it seems, came over to Scotland from Ireland in the mid 1700s.
I have no almost no experience in tracing family trees, although I was able to find details of a family who had emigrated to the US in 1895 for some friends around 10 years ago. None of the research was done online. I visited the archive department in Perth library and the Registry Office to gather information.
Although I have little time, now that am caring for my mother, I would like to volunteer to do wiki genealogy.
