Sarah was born in 1630. She passed away 20 Oct 1677.[citation needed]
Research Notes
Last name at birth unknown: Sarah is often shown to be Sarah Freeman, daughter of Edmund Freeman. There is no evidence that Edmund had a daughter named Sarah, and the connection was severed in May 2023.

Freeman-23289 and Unknown-644792 appear to represent the same person because: Please see documentation on Unknown-644792 for info about unproven surname Freeman. If Freeman cannot be proven, merge should go to LNAB as UNKNOWN>
I've ppp'd this profile for the pending merge so that the LNAB will remain as unknown. If proof can be found for Freeman, please contact a PM of this profile or any leader to remove the PPP. The PPP should be removed once the merge is complete, contact me to have it removed.
I am in agreement with Vic Watt's 2014 Post "Although John Butterworth did have a wife named Sarah, I know of no evidence showing that her maiden name was Freeman. In fact, no one seems to know what her maiden name was. Sarah Butterworth was dead before John died in 1708. Do you have any evidence that the Sarah who married John Butterworth was a Freeman? Do you have any evidence that Sarah is the daughter of Edmund Freeman? (Anderson, in "The Great Migration", does not show that Edmund had a daughter Sarah.) In addition, Edmund did not come to Massachusetts until 1635. So, if this Sarah was born in Rehoboth in 1630, she could not have been Edmund's child. I believe we should disconnect her from Edmund Freeman and his wife, and possible change her LNAB to Unknown." In addition Edmund Freeman (supposedly Sarah’s father), came to New England in 1635 on the ship “Abigail” without a daughter Sarah. Please update this family.
Ok, the most I could do here so far, is to change the status of Bennett for Sarah Freeman Butterworth, and Mary Freeman Perry, as not being their biological mother. They should both be listed under Edmund Freeman, and Elizabeth unknown. If anyone in here knows how to merge them into Edmund and Elizabeth, please do so. I am afraid I will mess the tree up.
