I also posted to the Norway project, but would like to join the Denmark Project too. My wife is 100% Norwegian (American Norwegian, that is) with trails to the 1500's in both Norway and Denmark in two separate family lines. (Both originate in Denmark, from folks sent north to administrate law - there are two foged's, or baili's in her family, plus two mayor's of Viborg. Her family emigrated from Karlsoy starting in the mid 1800's. We are members of Gudbrandsdalaget and have a 220 page family book of her ancestors originally researched in Norway in the 1950's. I would like to enter the data I have into wikitree, and want to find as many primary sources as I can. I myself have 4% Viking DNA, and wikitree tells me I have 3 ancient Viking kings in my ancestry - but these come via their British Descendants. As I said above, y wife's family is also Danish with ancient royal and aristocratic connections. Her family is mentioned in Sir Thomas Michell's report with respect to the battle of Kringen in 1612. Thank you!
