Biography

Daniel Huntley son of Daniel and Susannah Beckwith Huntley was born in Lyme, Connecticut,[1] 13 Oct 1748. He married first, in Horton in 1772, Sarah Ells (or Ellis) Huntley of Lebanon, daughter of Joshua and Mary Bill Ellis of Connecticut.[2][3] Sarah died 27 March 1779.[3]

Daniel, a Cornwallis grantee, having arrived in Nova Scotia in 1861, married second, 9 Aug 1780, in Horton, Elizabeth “Betsey” Wickwire, born aboard ship in the harbor at Horton Sunday June 7, 1760 daughter of Peter and Rhoda (Schofield) Wickwire.[3][4][5] Daniel died at Horton in 1803, while Betsey survived her husband and was living in 1816.[3]
