Israel Arnold Jr. was born at Providence, Rhode Island on January 18, 1677, the son of Israel and Mary (nee Barker/widow Smith) Arnold. [1][2][3][4]
In his father Israel Sr's. will dated 1716, proved in 1717, Israel Jr. was bequeathed 'the house and land where he lives in Pawtuxet, within Warwick bounds; also other lands.' [4]
He married first, on February 2, 1698 at Warwick, Rhode Island, Elizabeth Smith. [5] Elizabeth was born in 1672, daughter of Benjamin and Lydia (Carpenter) Smith. [6][7][4]
His first wife Elizabeth died February 7, 1718/9 at Warwick, Rhode Island. [5][6][4]
Israel Jr. married second on December 24, 1719, Dorothy Rhodes, widow of Malachi Rhodes. [5] Dorothy was born at Providence, daughter of John Whipple and his second wife Rebecca (Brown) Scott. [8][6][4]
Dorothy died on September 10, 1723 at Warwick. [5][6][8][4]
On 8 June 1724, an agreement was made between Israel Arnold and James Rice regarding the rent that his wife Dorothy had been entitled to and they now belong to her eldest son by Malachy Rhodes. Israel was also to deliver some good that belong to Malachy that was to go to the Rhodes children.[9]
After Dorothy's death, Israel Jr. married his third wife at Warwick, on June 27, 1730,

Lydia born on January 8, 1702/3 [5]; married Joseph Sheldon on January 15, 1724. [4][1] died on July 11, 1772, widow of Deacon Joseph, aged 69 years 5 months and 21 days. [11]
Benjamin born on January 18, 1707/8 [5]; died on April 19, 1739. [4][12]
Christopher (twin) born on November 7, 1710 [5]; died on January 6, 1791 [11](Note: Removed from the Tillinghast-Arnold Burial Ground at the corner of Hope and John Streets in Providence on August 8, 1848) ; married Lydia Tillinghast on November 17, 1735. [4][1]
Steven (twin) born on on November 7, 1710. [5][4] (? married Marcy Tillinghast or ?Marcy Grant)
Mary born on February 25, 1714 [5]; married ___ Carpenter. [4]
