Hi John - I was able to find Esther Gildersleeve Buckingham's grave on Find a Grave thanks to the info you had given. And there was a photo of it so I was able to be here in Portland, CT where she was born and look at here grave down there.

John, I see that you just did the Pre-1700 Self-Certification. That's great! Is there a particular time period, location, or topic you're interested in? Maybe you have some historically-significant ancestors? Participation in a project is strongly encouraged for those wishing to edit Pre-1700 profiles. You appear to have several interests. Why don't you stop by the Project List (https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Projects to see how you can participate? Let me know if you need help with anything. We are glad to have you on board!

Hi!

How are you? I'm Shirley, a WikiTree Mentor. Hope you're enjoying our site.

How To Use WikiTree is a good starting point, and the Help Index is an important place to find out how to do most tasks.

If you have pre-1700's ancestors to add please read our Pre-1700 profiles info. Do you have Royal Ancestors? Rather than create duplicate profiles for them, please contact the EuroAristo Project to discuss connecting your family line to their profiles.

And I'm here to help too, just ask!

Shirley ~ WikiTree Mentor

You are now a member of the WikiTree Community - We are building One Collaborative Tree, with just one profile per person, so it is important to ensure no duplicates are entered as you add Profiles to WikiTree.

"Sources are critically important for genealogy. Some even say that genealogy without sources is mythology. Even if you're just a casual family historian recording modern family history, you will be helping future genealogists by listing where the information you've added came from."

If you have pre-1700's ancestors to add, please read our Pre-1700 profiles info. Please, be sure to include a list of the sources used, on each profile you add.

If you need any help getting started check out the Help Index or the G2G forum - Good luck growing your branches, Patt

I am retired and now live in the house my GG Grandfather bought in 1869. My Grandfather was born and died in this house. My Grandfather spent many years putting together his genealogy and I want to confirm and continue his work.
