Can we add this brief biography in the appropriate spot in John's profile? I'd be happy to do it but don't seem to be able. This is an example of frustrations I have in this business! Thanks if you can help. John

Genealogy and computer novice hopes to learn something of great grandfather's sister, Renthea Crumpton b. 1840 Fairfield Co. SC, daughter of Thomas Alexander Crumpton (1803-1863) and Elizabeth Edwards Rabb (1809-1886) . Last known family contact is unsigned letter we believe by Renthea to "Dear Brother and Sister" dated June 12 (no year) relating the mortal wounding of brothers, William and Walter, May 6,1864 in the Battle of the Wilderness. Her mother, Elizabeth, had gone to hospital at Gordonsville VA helping tend their wounds til their deaths, 5-21-64 and 6-19-64.

My line has been traced through this family to a patriot ancestor. WikiTree may be able to help unravel some kinks to the side. I agree with your mission, plan to abide by rules and volunteer to help.
