DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships by comparing test results with Ryan or other carriers of his ancestors' Y-chromosome or mitochondrial DNA. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Ryan:

Hi Ryan,

I have been updating some Milstead profiles that you manage and would like to be added to the trusted lists. Have you seen my requests?

VR, David

Sorry I missed it David, haven't been on here for a bit. Of course, will absolutely approve and happy to add you or turn over management of any other Milstead profiles also.

Thanks, Ryan! I see that Milstead-259 has only one current manager, and I would be happy to help out there if you would like to add me as a second manager.

I’ve not heard back from you regarding the 1776 Project check-in so have gone ahead and removed you from the project for now.

If you’d like to rejoin at any stage you would be most welcome to do so by answering the G2G sign-up post here

Many thanks,

Betty -- 1776 Project Leader

Hi,

I sent you a check-in message several days ago about the 1776 Project to ask you about your past and continued involvement but have not yet heard back from you. Do you still want to be in the project?

If I don’t hear from you in a week or so, I’ll assume that you’ve moved on to other things, but you’re most welcome to re-join the project at any time.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Best wishes,

Betty -- 1776 Project Leader

Greetings from the 1776 Project . . .

We're doing our semi-annual check-in to ask whether you have made contributions to the project in the last six months?

Please note that it is a requirement for membership in the 1776 Project that you respond to this check-in. Please post your response as a reply to this message on your page, for convenience of record keeping.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Hello,

I am checking in on behalf of the 1776 Project to announce the new project membership requirements and to verify that you are still interested in being a member of the project. All project members are being asked to join one of the project teams and also to make at least one project contribution every 6 months. We are also asking all project members to join the project's Google Group for project communications.

If you are interested in remaining with the Project, please reply to this comment or send me a message, request to join the Google Group, and let us know what team you would like to participate on.

We really appreciate your contributions on WikiTree, and thank you for all your hard work. If you have any questions, please ask. We would also love to hear any feedback you may have for the project.

If we don't hear back from you we will assume that you no longer wish to participate in the project and if so, you could rejoin at any time as is convenient for you.

We look forward to hearing from you soon!

Ryan,

Thank you for all your work on the John Paul Miller line! So far my sister and I are the only listed possible DNA matches on his profile. I will add my brothers DNA testing, which will show the Y. Hopefully it will show more connections. I looked at your tree to see how we are connected, but didn't find one. I would be interested in learning more about you and our relationship. I have only been working on Wikitree for a few weeks and have much to learn. I hope to learn how to add documents as well as you! I've seen most of them, but am struggling with the learning curve on attaching sources. Thanks again for all your hard work!

Ryan -

Thanks for initiating the merge of Michael Homer profiles (Homer-308 & Homer-692. You and I are 8th cousins once removed. Always nice to meet a new cousin! Steve Wrenn

Hello

You may have been hard at work getting connected to family members who are already here and adding those who were missing. You probably have at least a few profiles that you manage now.

There's a fast and easy way to access those profiles using the Watchlist. So, this week we're going to look at How to Manage Your Watchlist.

Questions?? Click my name above the comment, then ask in the comment section of my page. We want to help!

Thanks, ~Mary- Wiki Messenger

Congratulations on all of your profile. I glanced at a couple with Sources.. Thanks for the sources as it helps others.

PS Good work so far! Have you noticed on your ancestor profiles on the bottom right is "Research" where you can get sources and more information? Give it a try sometime!
