Hi Cousin,

Just wanted so share a fascinating hidden feather on WikiTree. You can get a report for all yourknown ancestors within 2,000 years by typing this in your URL: http://wikitree.sdms.si/function/WTWebAncestors/errors.htm?WikiTreeID=Cruz-788 (Just replace Cruz-788 with your WIkiTree ID)

I found a 69th generation ancestor. He is listed as King Prasutagus of the Iceni, born 0010 in Icenia, Britannia. (WikiId: Iceni-3).

Iceni were a British Celtic tribe of eastern Britian during the Iron Age and early Roman Era. His history offers a fascinating story about how his wife, Boudici, after her husbands death about 50 A.D., led an uprising against the occupying Roman Empire, and gave the Roman's such hell that she later became a British folk hero.

There are many others to explore too!

Ms. Thompson, thanks for you question. First let me correctly state that we are 27th cousins once removed, not 28th. (Pierre I) "Peter" Courtenay, formerly Capet, aka "Emperor of Constantinople (1186-1183) is our common ancestor.

Here's how to verify for yourself:

First, open your profile page. At the top you' ll see the URL https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Thompson-38031

2) replace your wikitree ID, Tompson-38031 with mine: Cruz-788.

3) go to the pull down menu, titled Cruz-788; slide down the menu choices until you find "Relationship to me" and click on it.

Wait until the relationship finder stops running. It automatically is set to check several generations. Then click the big green button titled: SEARCH 30 GENERATIONS.

Still interested? Do that first & I'll share even more.

Hello! To my 28 cousin (once removed). We can thank Pierre (Capet) Courtenay (abt. 1126 - 1183)

(Capet-27), also known as Pierre I Emporer Constantinople for being our ancestor in common.

Hi,

You've been a member of WikiTree for about a week so I thought I would check in to see how it's going. The New Member How-Tos are for you to work at your own pace. If you had a chance to review any of it, was it helpful?

If you have questions about how WikiTree works, I'm here to help. Just click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page. I'll get back to you by the end of the day.

Debi ~ WikiMessenger

PS Did you discover that the surname tags on your profile are clickable links? Each will take you to a page of other people who research the surname and a bunch of links which might be helpful. You can add up to 20 tags for other surnames or spelling variations.
