Biography
I have been researching my family, Polivick, since I was 16 years old. I found a triple sided tombstone in the Old Bardwell Cemetery in Bardwell, Carslisle Co., KY, for L. Polivick which had the inscription of "Citizen of Slavonia" and an anchor on it. On one side was his wife, Nancy (Crabtree) Polivick, and on the other side was their oldest child, Less (Alexander) Polivick.
Slavonia, I found, was in Croatia, but when Lazarus immigrated, it was a province of Austria-Hungary.
