Parents, Birth, Baptism

 Joseph Napoleon Bourgeois, son of Michel Jerome Bourgeois and Marie Desiree Stievens, was born and baptized on 30 Aug 1820 at St Joseph’s Church in Thibodaux, Louisiana.^[1]

Marriages, Children

 Joseph married Marie Clementine Matherne, daughter of Mathieu Matherne and Susanne Poche, on 7 Jan 1843 via Civil Union.^[2] They had their marriage solemnized on 26 Mar 1844 the St. Joseph’s Church in Thibodaux, Louisiana.^[3]
 One child is known to have been born of this marriage:

 Three years after the death of Clementine in Jun 1873,^[5] Joseph married Henriette Angelique “Angelina” Rossi, daughter of Sebastiano Andre Rossi and Marie Octavie Podesta and widow of Juneau Neuville Maillet, on 20 Sep 1876 at the Holy Savior Church in Lockport, Louisiana.^[6]
