Hi Robert,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Pre-1700 ancestors can be shared by many descendants, so collaboration is essential. You can learn about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

The Scotland Project may be appropriate since that is where your Curry family seems to originate. If not, use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find other possibilities. Review the project page to learn about resources and guidelines as well as how to collaborate with the project members.

Hi Robert

Thanks for your message.

I would recommend building your tree slowly and try to keep them connected. Not always possible I have 2 disconnect branches I am working on but yet to find the common link yet.

A couple of things I would say is source, add locations and dates even if only estimated, it is better than no date. Location even a country helps reduce the number of potential source options. Sources are key to providing the evidence to support the data (Note family trees are not sources)

Most of all have fun doing what you do and let the community help you too, any questions just ask in the G2G forum

Happy branch building

Janet

Hi Robert

Wow great start, were the How-Tos pages helpful or did they leave you with questions? Ask question in our G2G forum Click Here

Clicking your green tags shows members who follow that tag. Add tags other family surnames, for locations. The tags link you to the community sourcing & research options.

We want to help you learn about the site and the community, hope you found the pages and links useful.

Hi Robert —

You are now a confirmed member of the WikiTree community and can start adding your family.

Since WikiTree is different from other genealogy sites, we have a guided tour for new members. See the links at https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:New_Member_How-To

Great to have you on board, enjoy, and good luck growing your branches.

Cheers, Liz

P.S. If you get a "Page Not Found" error when you click a link in a WikiTree e-mail, you can usually find a functioning link in the public comments section of your profile page.

Hi Robert,

Thanks for volunteering! You are now a full member of the WikiTree community, and can start adding your family. Let me know if you have any questions.

Since WikiTree is different from other genealogy sites, we have a guided tour for new members at New Member How-To. Feel free to work through the How-Tos at your own pace.

Once you add profiles to WikiTree they become searchable and in my experience persons interested in these profiles will contact you and may provide further information to expand your family tree.

Great to have you on board, enjoy, and good luck growing your branches.

Ludwig :)

PS If links do not work in an email from WikiTree, try them from the comment section of your profile page.
