The biography for Suzan Schwantz is empty. What can you add?
A native Southern Californian(first generation), I've become enthralled with genealogy in recent years and have worked online putting together my maternal family tree dating back to the 13th century in Wales and other UK locations. On my paternal side, on the other hand, I've been stymied by my own grandfather's ADOPTED status, and the stigma that used to go along with that, so that no one in the family knew who Grandpa's birth parents (or birth name) were. Still don't!
It's been wonderful discovering what my ancestors were up to centuries ago - and has especially increased my interest in the early days of this country's europeanizing (is that a word?)and the westward expansion, as family members experienced it. I was very surprised this week to discover I even had a shirttail relative who came out to the California Gold Rush during the mid-1800's, to open his store to the gold miners!
I look forward to filling in new facts, filling out ancestors' life stories and correcting incorrect (or sometimes - impossible!) data as I come across it and sharing discoveries with others more experienced and knowledgeable than I - and there may even be some out there who are less experienced!
Here's to a future, delving into the past!

I'm Eowyn, a WikiTree Mentor and Team Member. Our primary vision is to build a collaborative tree with just one profile per person. The farther back in your tree, the more likely you will find duplicate profiles to link into, so it's a good idea to do a search before you create a new profile. Try to add an estimated date and place of birth, at the very least, a country, for each person. This helps in searches. Last but not least, try to source each profile as you go.
We also have a naming standard here.
Feel free to check out How To Use WikiTree. It's a great step-by-step guide to get you started.
