Michael please do not remove the Acadian project and the Louisiana projects as managers. These are added per longstanding project guidelines. The Honor Code point #1 is that we collaborate. Removing these projects seems to be going in the wrong direction.

Thanks Cindy for the reminder. There is no down side to having a project monitor common ancestors with open profiles that anyone may edit. To do that, we need to have the template on the profile so we can get a notification. Every day of the week, a project member monitors activity for its protected profiles. We seldom encounter problems except for duplicates. We routinely improve the profiles. Many of us have used our own resources to purchase important source publications which we freely share with everyone. We work on all profiles, not just those in our own family tree. It is unclear to me why anyone would object to having a project protect an ancestor, but, if there is such a problem, it should, in good faith, be brought to the project leaders' attention. Wikitree has a process for resolving differences.
