Geneviève de Circé was born on 27 Jan 1685 and baptized the following day in Saint-François-Xavier parish of Batiscan, Canada, Nouvelle-France. Her parents were François de Circé and Madeleine Berthelot. Godparents at the infant's baptism were Pierre Lafond and Geneviève Lafond. The officiating priest was Claude Volant.[1]

Marriage
She married Jean Leclerc dit Lafrenaye, son of Joseph Masse and Marguerite Berthome, on 23 Jan 1706 in Église de l'Immaculée-Conception de Saint-Ours, Canada, Nouvelle-France.[2]Their marriage is also documented even though no source document is available in IGD (Drouin) as of 1/26/2023. Jean passed away on 18 Jul 1740 in Saint-Ours.

2nd Marriage
Geneviève Circé, widow of Jean Leclerc, married Jean Baptiste Vel dit Sansoucy, widower of Marie Belleval, on 16 Nov 1763 in Sainte-Trinité parish of Contrecœur, Province of Québec. In the presence of known witnesses Pierre Belleval senior. Pierre Belleval junior, Jean Leclerc dit Lafrenaye, Joseph Leclerc dit Lafrenaye, André St-Laurent and Pierre Étienne. The celebrant priest was J. Raizenne.[3]

Death and Burial
Geneviève Circé, wife of Jean Baptiste Vel dit Sansoucy, passed away being given the age of around 88 years on the record. Her burial was on 4 Jan 1772 in Immaculée-Conception parish cemetery of Saint-Ours.[4]
