Biography

David Demarest was born on August 18, 1669, in New York City, New York to Jean Des Marets and his wife, Jacomina DeRuine. He married Antie Pieterse Slot in 1695 in Bergen, New Jersey. They had five children during their marriage, four daughters and one son. He died before September 7, 1706, in Hackensack, New Jersey, at the age of 37.

  • David is buried in the First Dutch Reformed Churchyard in Hackensack, Bergen County, New Jersey.[7]

Des Marets-220 and De Mareetz-1 appear to represent the same person because: Clearly intended to the same person (matching name, dates, wife, etc.). De Mareetz was determined to be his LNAB, and that profile is project-protected.
