Hi Tom, when I looked at the two trees you mentioned I see no reason why they shouldn't be merged. But with Haugt - 140 My research doesn't go back beyond James and Cora. I also have a child that doesn't match any of yours. Therefore I wouldn't merge this tree yet until further research can be done. At this time my research is on the Sinnett line. So if you want to follow up on this , go ahead.

Hi Tom,

Thanks for becoming pre-1700 certified. Now that you will be working on older profiles you will find yourself collaborating more with others. The best way to do this is by joining a project. Have a look at our list of pre-1700 projects and see if any are of interest to you. Give me a shout if you have any questions.

Thanks, Susie :-)

Hi Tom, I adopted an orphaned file that ended up having duplicates of some of your folks. Can take a look at your pending merges and let me know if you have any questions? Thanks!

Congratulations, you've been a member for a month!

Check out Beyond the Basics of WikiTree for a guide on some of our more advanced features such as Projects, Categories, Merging, Templates and Volunteer Opportunities!

We're very active on our social sites and we have an excellent blog where you'll find our monthly newsletter as well as tips, interviews with our members and guest posts from others in the genealogy community.

Try our Relationship Finder! It searches 20 generations. If you find a duplicate profile, the other managers are probably related. You can use this to find out how!

Hello,

Thank you for joining WikiTree. As a WikiTree Mentor I am available to answer any questions or help solve any issues you may be having. How is your experience with Wikitree going? Our G2G Forum is searchable or you can post a question there.

Do you have Royal Ancestors? They are already here on Wikitree! Rather than create duplicate profiles for them, please contact the EuroAristo Project to discuss connecting your family line to their profiles.

The Help Index is also an important place to find how to do most tasks.

Feel free to ask me via my profile page if you have any questions.

I noticed you uploaded a GEDCOM. Here's a link to a great step-by-step of the process including screenshots that you might find helpful.

The help pages give lots of information about the process, best to start with 'Before you import a GEDCOM'.

I would like to be a contributing member of WikiTree family tree. To the best of my knowledge my contributions will be accurate and honest. I am excited that such a website exists with a mission and guidelines to promote our study. I have been collecting my family history data for 2 decades and have tested for Y-DNA and mtDNA. My regional area of study is central WV and eastern Ohio where I have traveled to many courthouses, cemetaries, libraries, historical societies.
