Thomas Hawkins the son of Robt. & Anne Hawkins his wife was born
She was the daughter of Thomas Preble and Mary Bucknall. Mary was the daughter of Thomas BUCKNALL. [3]
Anne Preble was born Nov. 8, 1689 in the Swan Creek area, St. George Parish, MD. Her mother, Mary Bucknall Preble, remarried after Thomas' death to Archibald Buchanan. Mary Buchanan's 1732 will named her daughter Anne Hawkins and grandaughter Elizabeth, daughter of Robert Hawkins, so Anne died sometime after her mother's death in 1731 and before 1760, since Robert had married another woman by that time. Anne was the mother of all of Robert's children (at least eight, including two sets of twins).
1715 Margarett's Mount
In 1715 Robert bought from John Miles (also Mills), 210 acres of Miles' 300 acre tract named Margarett's Mount in the Susquehanna Hundred of Baltimore County, MD "about 8 miles from Havre de Grace, and near the headwaters of Deer Creek, in what is now Harford County". In 1730 he bought 66 acres called "Farmer's Farm" part of "Margarett's Mount" from Richard Wells. [From the tract Card File in the Harford County Archives, Annapolis, MD] This area has been confused in at least one county history, with the Bald Friar Ferry area of New Jersey, which is across the Susquehanna River from there.
ln 1750 Robert Hawkins owned 160 a Margaret's Mont[1]

Research Notes
Disputed Origins
A previous version of this profile claimed that this Robert Hawkins was born in 1684 in Baltimore County, Maryland, the son of Elizabeth Farmer and Richard Hawkins who himself was born on 22 Mar 1638/1639 in Chippenham England.[8]
Richard and Elizabeth did have a son Robert who was baptised on 3 Sep 1691 in Streatley, Bedfordshire, England.[9] But this son Robert Hawkins was buried at Streatley on 8 Mar 1691/2, ruling him out as the Maryland man. And someone born 1691 is unlikely to have been on a tax list in 1702. Therefore these parents have been detached.

WE NEED to UNLINK the wife Anne and the daughter as there is proof that they belong to the Robert Hawkins from Maryland not England. right?
So now that we have proven THIS Robert Hawkins was born in England, Christened in 1691. NOW we have to prove that he came to America in time to marry Anne Preble in 1709.................So 1709 he would be 19.
I AM so sure there are more than 2 Robert Hawkins that lived in Baltimore Maryland in the same decade.
I hit the REJECT buttonHawkins-4630 and Hawkins-1524 appear to represent the same person because: the 4630 is unsourced and it has that he was born in England, so that has to be proven, but they sure appear to be one/same or unlink the wife Preble........she is one/same
Hawkins-4630 and Hawkins-1524 do not represent the same person because: I believe there are 2 Robert Hawkins and the one born in England did not marry Ann Preble... it appears that he died in England as per the PPP profile has a note
Hawkins-3836 and Hawkins-1524 appear to represent the same person because: Both married to the same wife, same death date in Maryland and both need detaching from the Bedfordshire parents,
I hit the REJECT buttonHawkins-4630 and Hawkins-1524 appear to represent the same person because: the 4630 is unsourced and it has that he was born in England, so that has to be proven, but they sure appear to be one/same or unlink the wife Preble........she is one/same
