Biography

NOTE: Only one Anne Martin is listed in the Wall of Names Booklet and she is a different Anne Martin. This Anne hasn't been found in the booklet but she would qualify to be on the Wall.

Anne Martin was born 7 Mar 1720. She was the daughter of Etienne Martin and Marie Comeau. She was baptized at birth by the midwife and ceremonies took place 9 Feb 1720 at St Jean Baptiste Parish, Port Royal. Her godparents were Paul Savoye and Jeanne Dupius, daughter of Jean Dupius.^[1][2]

She married first Pierre Blanchard, son of Pierre and Anne Robicheaux 13 January 1744 at St. Jean-Baptiste, Port Royal. Witnessed by: Pierre Blanchard, François Martin, François Bourg and Claude Bourg.^[3]

She married third, Jean Baptiste Richard, widower of Catherine Cornier [sic] 23 Jul 1778 at St. James Catholic Church, St. James, LA. Witnesses: Joseph Bourg and Jean Leger.^[6]

She passed away after 3 July 1786.
