Biography

Jean was born about 1747 (68 years old at death in 1815). [1] His parents were Jean Baptiste Savoie and Marguerite Blanchard.

He married Marie Arsenault about 1778, likely in present-day New Brunswick, which was under the jurisdiction of the Colony of Nova Scotia until 1783.

  3. Anne Savoie
  4. Étienne Savoie

He died on September 09, 1815 in Néguac, N. B. [1]

Savoie-1966 and Savoie-379 appear to represent the same person because: Same names. Same approximated birth year.

The correct parents are Jean Baptiste and Marguerite Blanchard.

Same spouse, same marriage year. Same death date and place.

The parents of Savoie-1966 had a son named Jean who is already accounted for.

This surname needs to be fixed. Either Savoy or Savoie, with alternate spellings noted.

Brid is correct, we don't want to use multiple versions of a name in LNAB, and Savoie is the standard Acadian name to use, please.
