A previous version of this profile claimed, without source, that she was the Elizabeth Thompson b. 17 Dec 1610 Gainesboro, Lincolnshire, England , dtr of [[Thompson-53395|William Thomspson].[citation needed]
She came to American with her husband Francis Hall. Elizabeth inherited a house and land in England, which he [Francis] sold about 1664, and in 1687 their son Isaac entered a caveat to prevent his father from selling Fairfield lands, which he claimed for the children of Elizabeth.[1]
A previous version of this profile claimed, without source, that she'd died 6 JUL 1665.[citation needed]
Hannah m. Joseph Blakeman, or Blackman as noted in wills
Research Notes
The dates and place of birth are uncertain.
Date of marriage and place are also uncertain.
There is a Warwickshire church record for a December 1636 baptism of a child of Francis and Elizabeth Hall that could possibly be related to this profile.
The later records from Stratford/Fairfield, Connecticut are more certain.
The death of Elizabeth Hall (wife of Francis) in Fairfield (or Stratford) in July 1665 is noted in several sources. [WHERE?]
Francis Hall remarried (to Dorothy, widow of Rev. Adam Blakeman) not long after Elizabeth's death.
There is also a common mention in histories of Stratford (see Orcutt, 1886; Wilcoxson, 1939) of a document (source?) which indicates that Francis acquired from Elizabeth and later sold a house and property in England.
Records also indicate that Francis was a owner of many properties in Connecticut and, in 1654, made a large purchase of land in the area of Fairfield.
Thompson-53394 and Unknown-304831 appear to represent the same person because: clearly same person, wife of Francis Hall. Evidence of LNAB is inconclusive and therefore Unknown is best.
Unknown-304831 and Thompson Crossley-1 appear to represent the same person because: These profiles represent the same person, wife of Francis Hall and mother of his children. According to research done by Donald Lines Jacobus, her surname was unknown. I cannot find any new research which would indicate her LNAB was Thompson-Crossley.
Who is then listed as a father of the children? Also is what is the LNAB and how is the name Crossley being used? I will add Hall as a used name. Please explain why you removed Francis as husband Marnie.
Thompson Crossley-1 and Unknown-304831 do not represent the same person because: They may be the same person, but if her husband was Francis Hall, why was a son named Isaac Hall, Sr.?
