My name is Bill Wallace and until recently I was only a user of Ancestry. Since I took their DNA test, I have become extremely interested in genetic genealogy, which this site seems support to some level. I,ve already submitted my DNA and I will submit a GEDCOM file soon.
I started in 2003 and I have a reasonably documented tree to my 3rd-great-grandparents. I have as many questions as I have answers.
Hi William. I see that you have uploaded your DNA for comparison. Did you know that we have a project for DNA where a lot of things are happening? If you are interested and would like to check it out, go to the FIND link top right of your profile page, select PROJECTS from the drop down box, and then select the link for the DNA project. It has information listed that might be of interest to you, and feel free to contact any of the members if you would like more details.
Thanks for the personal email. To become a genealogist, you have to finish the enrollment process.
Then press the "Volunteer" button and post your message about adding to the tree.
Read the Nine rules etc as spelled out in the Volunteer acceptance message and follow the instructions to become a full genealogist. Bill :-D
Please set your preferences for your Tags Followed to include DNA on the GenealogistToGenealogist (G2G) feed: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Special:Following

I read your G2G post. Although this won't solve the problem of inadequate GEDCOM instructions overall, maybe this will help: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Advice_from_a_Mentor#GEDCOMs.
