Reuben, Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, thus coordinating with others is essential.

Thanks for joining the DNA Project which all ancestors had it. Hope you can connect to some.

Another Pre-1700 suggestion is German Roots Project for your Esser and Birrenbach ancestors.

Or use the Pre-1700 Projects list, located at the top of your page, 4th topic on right, under <Find> and <Projects>.

For questions, just ask!

Ruben, with all your work on different languages you might try adding this at the top of your biography (on the Edit tab):

{{ Languages | en | de-2 | fr-2 | la-1 }}

Ruben, do you speak any German or other languages? Would you check out our languages template and add it to your biography? For example you might add

{{ Languages | en | de-3 }}

to the top of your biography if you speak English natively and advanced German, or you could use es-4 to specify near-native Spanish or ru-1 for basic Russian, and so forth up to ten languages. It really helps to know who speaks all the different languages used on WikiTree!

Hi Ruben,

A warm welcome to the WikiTree family! The initial email from us has helpful links that will get you started on WikiTree, which is not like any genealogy site you’ve ever used and it is FREE. WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a BIG collaborative team!

What brings you to WikiTree? Do you have research you’d like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into the big tree? When you confirm your email address, you’ll have an opportunity to volunteer and tell us about your genealogical interests.

Once you volunteer, one of our Greeters will be happy to confirm your membership, and you’ll be on your way!

We’re really glad you’re here. More importantly, have fun growing your family tree and connecting to persons with the same interest.

Ludwig :)
