Help Improve Magna Carta Five-Star Profiles (Post #9 - March 2020) [closed]

Question

The Magna Carta Project would appreciate your help expanding some of our 5-star profiles to make them even more informative, appealing and accessible to the public. Using the project’s checklist as a guide, we will be focusing on the following profiles this month: 

• Gateway Ancestor John West, Colonial Governor of Virginia (1590-1659): Biography needs significant rearrangement, etc. and some questions about relationships may need investigating. 
• Gateway Ancestor Nathaniel Brown/Browne (1625-1658): Find citations where indicated by {{citation needed}} and revise bio accordingly, check other citations, clean up sourcing. 
• William Ferrers (1240-1287): Needs some cleanup, check sources. 
• Joan (de Vere) de Warrenne (1264-1293): Citations to Lewis should be sourced directly to Richardson, Complete Peerage, etc. Find source for data marked with {{citation needed}}. 
• Thomas Stradling Esq. (aft. 1454-1480): Needs sourcing to Richardson. Bio uses citations to Burke’s, which is not a MCP “reliable source”. 
• Hugh de Stafford KG (abt. 1342-1386): Needs inline sourcing to Richardson. 

The following profiles need a Magna Carta project section (and re-review, more inline citations to Richardson, etc., if you’re inclined to do so) and may be better suited to project members: 

• Sir Richard FitzAlan, KG, 11th Earl of Arundel, 10th Earl of Surrey (1346-1397)
• Idoine/Idonea de Clifford, Baroness Percy (1300-1365)
• Lionel de Welles, KG, 6th Baron Welles (abt. 1406 - 1461)
• William (Ferrers) de Ferrers (1372-1445)
• Margaret (de Audley) de Stafford (abt. 1324-1349)

Hi Traci! Thanks for posting these. This month for the Magna Carta Project, I'm focusing on doing Richardson updates/lookups for profiles in the "Needs Source Check" category... two of the profiles you list are in that category. So - not taking on the whole re-review/development/update for either, but I'll clear the "Needs Source Check" maintenance category for Hugh de Stafford and John West.

For anyone who wants to also work on those profiles, I'll post a "being edited, give me an hour" notice on the profile when I'm working on it so we don't get an edit conflict.

took me a while, but I've cleared the Needs Source Check categories from these two. They still could use some work though (see the comments on their profiles).
