Hi Mary,

Thanks self-certifying for the Pre-1700 badge! Collaboration with Pre-1700 Project members is essential for those wishing to edit Pre-1700 profiles. Collaboration is essential because those ancestors are usually shared by many descendants.

It looks like the Canada and Slavic Roots Projects would be a good fit based on your branch of WikiTree. Review the project page to learn about resources and guidelines as well as how to collaborate with the project members.

Do you have any questions? Let me know by using the "reply" link under my comments or by clicking my name to visit my profile. From there you can leave a comment or send a private message. . I'm happy to help! :-)

Hi Mary

Welcome back and thanks for signing the Honor Code. I hope you discover as much about your family as I have about mine over the last several years.

Check out the How-to pages for some quick tips on working with both the Wiki pages and our other members. There is some great information on those pages which were published after you joined.

Hi ,

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page. Michelle ~ WikiTree Mentor

Hi Mary,

Feel very welcome to WikiTree! I hope you will like it here as much as I do!

The initial email from us has helpful links that will get you started on WikiTree, which is not like any genealogy site you’ve ever used. WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a BIG collaborative team! Feel free to explore WikiTree, and we hope you will help us to grow our BIG tree!

When you confirm your email address, you’ll have an opportunity to volunteer and tell us about your genealogical interests at the tags (green boxes). Once you volunteer, one of our Greeters will be happy to confirm your membership, and you’ll be on your way!

Welcome to the family! We’re really glad you’re here!
